At our nursery, safeguarding is a top priority. We work with children, families, agencies, and the wider community to ensure every child is protected, respected, and given the best possible start in life.
Our Commitment

Definition of Safeguarding
Safeguarding means protecting children from harm, promoting well-being, and ensuring safe, effective care that leads to the best outcomes.
Our Approach – We aim to:
- Create a positive, secure environment where children can develop independence and self-esteem.
- Encourage staff to act as positive role models and raise concerns confidently.
- Identify and act on signs of abuse, including “softer signs”.
- Promote British values and involve children in safe decision-making.
- Share relevant information with appropriate agencies in a timely and confidential manner.
- Be vigilant to risks for vulnerable children, including those with SEND.
Staff Responsibilities
- Undergo safeguarding training from induction and through regular updates.
- Know how to respond to concerns and make timely referrals.
- Work with other professionals to safeguard children, including in multi-agency teams.
- Ensure online safety is maintained through monitoring and appropriate controls.
Parental Engagement
- Parents/carers are informed of safeguarding policies at registration and updated as needed.
- Our policy is regularly reviewed and kept in line with local authority guidance.

We take seriously our duty to act quickly and responsibly in any safeguarding concern. All actions taken are in the best interest of the child.
