Outdoor Curriculum

Outdoor Curriculum – Learning Through Nature

At Kids-Time, we are proud to have built a curriculum that makes full use of our amazing outdoor environments. Carefully crafted by our dedicated Enrichment Coordinator, our outdoor curriculum is designed to inspire, challenge, and teach children through real-world, nature-based experiences.

We believe that the outdoors offers endless opportunities for meaningful learning. That’s why we don’t just take learning outside – we’ve made it a core part of our curriculum.

What Our Outdoor Curriculum Offers:
  • Confidence & Resilience

Our outdoor activities encourage children to take risks, solve problems, and overcome challenges. Whether it’s climbing, exploring nature trails, or working together to build dens, children develop confidence in their own abilities and resilience in the face of new experiences.

  • Connection with the Natural World

Through hands-on activities like planting, caring for wildlife, and exploring seasonal changes, our children develop a deep respect and curiosity for the environment around them. They begin to understand the importance of sustainability and caring for the planet.

What Our Outdoor Curriculum Offers:

  • Physical and Emotional Wellbeing

Outdoor learning supports both body and mind. The freedom to move, play, and breathe fresh air helps children stay active and focused, while the calming effect of nature supports their emotional wellbeing.

  • Purposeful, Play-Based Learning

Our Enrichment Coordinator plans exciting outdoor sessions that are rich in learning opportunities – from sensory play for our youngest children to science, storytelling, and team building for older children. Each experience is carefully linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and tailored to individual needs and interests.

  • Challenge at Every Level

The outdoor curriculum is inclusive and adaptable, offering the right balance of support and challenge for children at every age and stage. It’s a space where every child can shine, grow, and discover their strengths.

At Kids-Time, we know that nature is one of the best teachers a child can have. Through our outdoor curriculum, we’re helping children become confident learners, compassionate individuals, and future guardians of the world around them.
