At Kids-Time, we know that a love for reading is one of the greatest gifts we can give a child. Reading is more than just a skill—it’s a window into imagination, understanding, and lifelong learning. That’s why we make reading a central, everyday part of nursery life and ensure it’s an experience all children can enjoy, share, and grow with.

Reading is Embedded in All We Do

From our youngest babies to our pre-schoolers preparing for their next steps, reading is deeply embedded into our daily routines and learning environments. Storytime isn’t just a quiet moment—it’s a time for bonding, building language, sparking creativity, and exploring emotions.

We provide cosy reading corners, interactive storytelling sessions, and access to a wide range of age-appropriate books in every room. Books are used to support learning topics, emotional development, cultural awareness, and to simply share joy.

Our Lending Library – Books That Go Home Too

To strengthen the connection between nursery and home, we’ve created a Lending Library in every room. Children are encouraged to choose a book to take home and share with their family, helping to build routines and a love for reading beyond the setting. This shared reading experience supports language development, listening skills, and builds a special bond between children and their careers.

Supporting Pre-School Transitions

As part of their exciting journey to school, all pre-school children at Kids-Time receive a special book and a book bag to take home as a gift. It’s our way of celebrating their transition and encouraging continued reading as they take their next steps into formal education.
